Hiatus Ended

September 7th, 2014 — 5:04pm

A few weeks back I posted this on my personal Facebook. I never put it up here, but I should have. Given the drop is happening tonight, it’s a bit late… but I still figure it adds some meaning to the gap between posts.

Further to the comments below, I’ve really re-ignited my fire for the brand in the last few weeks. I’ve got some cool plans, and am really excited to see what is going to happen.

Thankyou to everyone who has supported the brand over the years – and I thank you in anticipation for your continued support.

People have been asking me a fair bit about what’s happening with Dishonour so I thought I should take a minute and clear the air.

I have lagged on the project for like a year now. I dunno, after five or six years of solid effort into it I just lost focus I guess. Like over the years it has waxed and waned as anything would but this last year there has been a lot of wane and not much wax. No wax.

New house, new job, walking the puppy regularly and competing priorities combined with a lack of energy have all taken their toll.

After a bit of a discussion on Saturday with a few cats, where I pretty much was explaining why I wasn’t psyched at all on things… I dunno, I’d call it a low point, vocalizing a lot of things in my head… I’ve got a new found fire in my belly for the brand.

All that said, I’m getting my things together to put something new out for Dishonour in the coming weeks.

What, 4 days late. Sorry. Been busy. Always busy!

Just a quick note to say Happy New Year to everyone. Thanks to all the cats that have supported the brand over the last year, it hasn’t gone unnoticed.

We’re going to keep pushing forward in 2013, like we’ve done every year since 2006. Stay tuned.

Much love, ride more!

Brock’s on Premium

November 8th, 2012 — 3:58pm

A few weeks back the news dropped that Brock left Colony. He’s now on Premium. Scroll down for the press release.

Premium Products is proud to announce that Brock Olive is on the Premium Team.

“I’ve been a fan of Brock Olive for a while. His ability to put together really difficult tricks seems effortless. He’s killing it in Australia taking out two major street comps this year, plus two video parts and a bunch of really solid web videos. Brock is a very humble person and he loves to ride a bike. When someone genuinely wants to ride for a company, it’s such a better vibe in the group and it’s a credit to the current Premium team of Dan Foley, Josh Harrington, Sean Ricany, Connor Lodes and Chad Kerley. I’m very excited that Brock has joined us and I look forward to our future endeavors.” said Colin Mackay, Premium’s Team Manager.

Brock is based in Australia and will be working closely with our Premium distributor; Sheppard Cycle Australia.

“I am very happy to be riding for Premium Products now. I’ve been digging their product for a while. It’s awesome to be on a team with such amazing riders and to be part of a team with people that I used to grow up watching their video parts and to be able to have Colin as a Team Manager is also one of the biggest reasons I joined. I couldn’t be happier with Premium and what lies ahead in the future. Stoked” added Brock.

Brock will be joining us on an upcoming team trip and he also plans to spend a couple of months in the States early 2013. Brock is riding a Josh Harrington “The Stray V3″ frame (Available Nov 21) with Premium parts including 8.75″ Lodes Bars and FYB forks.

Thanks to Mitch Wood at LUXBMX store for the photos.

Six Years Deep Giveaway & 10% off

June 12th, 2012 — 3:00pm

A couple of weeks ago I mentioned how we’ve turned six, and there was a celebration or two planned for this month.

Anyway, here it is. Basically what we’re doing is giving all of our Facebook fans a chance to win a $600 Dishonour prize pack. And anyone who enters in the draw also gets a 10% off coupon for our online store.

All you got to do is head over to our Facebook page (facebook.com/ridedishonour), like it, and click on the Six Years Deep tab. The tab is just chilling underneath the cover photo.

And of course, if you’ve already liked our page that’s sweet. You just gotta click the Six Years Deep tab and fill your details in to go in the draw and get your coupon code.

And much love to everyone who’s supported us over the years.

New Photobook Project

June 4th, 2012 — 7:32pm

You may (or may not) remember that I used to work on a little something called The Photobook Project. While over the last year it’d been on hiatus, I found some time over the last week to piece together a bumper photobook. Check it out.

SIX DEEP

May 31st, 2012 — 5:02pm

Somewhere around the 31st of May, we turn six. I can’t narrow the date down exactly – but late May, 2006, I got all excited and got a run of t-shirts printed.

Six years later, stuff’s a bit different, but it’s still kinda the same really. I don’t wanna get to heavy here, but Dishonour is still just a crew of dudes having fun on their bikes, making cool shit, nothing more, nothing less.

Thanks to every single person who’s bought something over the last six years. Wouldn’t be here without your support.

Much love.

James.

Clique drop spec

May 31st, 2012 — 4:02pm

Over the last few months, our drops have been delayed 7-10 days. I should just push shit back, then we’d be on time. But it’s here now, 2 weeks late, what of it.

I say this on most drops, but I’m really excited to release this stuff. I’ve been sitting on this tee design for the best part of the years, and the chinos have been a long, long time in the making. Getting anything to do with your legs right takes a fair bit of effort.

So, the chinos. They’re slim and low slung. Instead of just a 100% cotton material, we went with a 98 / 2 cotton spandex blend, which gives the pants a little bit of stretch. That makes them comfy. As with all our denim and pants, they rep a 34″ inseam which is super tall.

As usual, expect high attention to detail… neat buttons, woven labels and our hand scrawled ‘d.’ hanging out on the rear right pocket.

All you’ve got to do is pick your colour – bone or dark chocolate brown.

$85 shipped via the online store, or $110 with a tee.

Now for the tees. Like I said, I’ve been sitting on this for the best part of a year, maybe a bit longer. On the 2011 east coast trip, I really wanted to catch a shot of the crew rolling around. Got this riding down to the docklands, from memory I was riding pretty quick, one hand on the bars, the other on the Nikon I had at the time.

Same deal as always for tees. Slightly taller, slimmer tee than usual. 180GSM mid weight cotton. Pick from black or white.

$35 shipped via the online store, or $110 with a pair of chinos.

Peace!
